Kulani Rikhotso is an Senior Investment Manager at Climate Fund Managers with over 10 years’ experience. Kulani drives strategy, project development, deal origination and execution within the Renewable Energy sectors in sub-Saharan Africa.

Before joining CFM, he served as a Senior Industry Development Manager within the Industrial Infrastructure unit (Energy, Water, Logistics and ICT) at the Industrial Development Corporation of South Africa, with coverage of both South Africa and the rest of sub-Saharan Africa. He has also provided project finance coverage for General Electric Capital for energy projects in sub-Saharan Africa through their Nairobi, Kenya, office. Before moving to Nairobi, he worked on Corporate Finance and Project Finance cross-border transactions throughout sub-Saharan Africa, covering manufacturing, agribusiness and services sectors with the International Finance Corporation, World Bank Group. Kulani has invested in listed equities on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange with RMB Asset Management.

Kulani holds a Master’s of Philosophy in Development Finance from the University of Stellenbosch Business School with specialization in Project and Corporate Finance and an Undergraduate qualification in Economics and Finance from the University of Cape Town.
