Summary Remuneration Policy

Climate Fund Managers has established a remuneration policy to promote good business practice and sound and effective risk management. The below is a summary of this policy:

Through its remuneration of employees, Climate Fund Managers seeks to align the personal objectives of employees with the business strategy, objectives, values and long-term interests of Climate Fund Managers and its clients, investors, and other stakeholders. In doing so, it endeavours to be consistent with, and, to promote sound and effective risk management and not to encourage excessive risk-taking.

Climate Fund Managers fixed remuneration to employees is well in keeping with the market. Employees may be entitled to variable remuneration. Such variable compensation will be based both on the employees’ financial and non-financial contribution to portfolio outperformance. Climate Fund Managers will seek to ensure that fixed and variable components of total remuneration are appropriately balanced.

Performance will be measured over multi-year periods to ensure that compensation is based on longer-term performance. Payment of performance-based remuneration will be spread over a period, which takes account of the underlying business cycle of Climate Fund Managers and its associated business risks. Due the close relationship between variable remuneration and portfolio performance, Climate Fund Managers does not make any forward-looking statements on variable remuneration.
