Sebastian Surie is responsible for leading CFM’s Green Hydrogen initiatives
Sebastian is an emerging markets and project finance specialist, who joined CFM in 2015. Sebastian actively contributed to the establishment of Climate Investor One, following which he focused on building out a deal pipeline in Africa. Sebastian now oversees all deal origination and execution activities in the region.
Before joining Climate Fund Managers, Sebastian spent 6.5 years in Kenya, where he worked as advisor and interim (investment) manager for various private equity funds. Among others, he completed projects for TBL Mirror Fund, Jacana Partners and the Gatsby Charitable Foundation. Prior to moving to Kenya, Sebastian worked at the Dutch Infrastructure Fund (DIF) where he focused on infrastructure and renewable energy investments. Prior to this, Sebastian worked at ING Bank (Structure Finance – Natural Resources).
